Because we believe that financial planning is all about people, we want our clients to know that there is a team of professionals around them. Your relationship with Crawford Consulting may also include working with professionals we choose to collaborate with, such as fund managers, solicitors, accountants, and other specialists. The members of this broader team will be introduced to you as you need them. For now, though, here are the experienced people you will get to know from day one.
Wealth Manager and Managing Director of Crawford Consulting
Paul believes that wealth management is not just about hard financial facts. It has an emotional and subjective nature to it which is just as important if not more so.
He started his career working for a number of leading life assurance companies, which eventually developed into advising clients. He formed Crawford Consulting in 2004 with the objective of creating a bespoke advice business and over the period since then, has built strong working relationships with clients based on mutual trust and respect.
Paul gets great satisfaction from being able to make a positive difference in clients’ lives. He has developed positive relationships with other professionals in the fund management, legal and accountancy fields as he believes that the best outcomes for clients can only be achieved by this collaborative approach.
In his spare time, he continues to play the guitar, and has developed a strong interest in design and the arts, not only as a collector but also dabbling as a dealer. Where possible, he tries to spend time with his children and four grandsons.
Client Administration Manager
Tina’s role is to organise, manage and carry out all client focused administration on behalf of the advising team to ensure we deliver an excellent service to our clients and professional connections.
As a self-confessed perfectionist, with a keen eye for detail, she is the ‘gatekeeper’ between clients, their product providers and investment managers, working tirelessly to ensure the service the clients receive from them meets our expectations.
Tina enjoys getting to know our clients and professional connections and is on hand to help with any queries you may have. Her years of experience in dealing with product providers means she knows the best way to assist you, no matter how large or small your query may be. She is a strong believer in persistence being the key to success with a passion for seeing things through to resolution.
Tina joined the Crawford Consulting team in 2014. She has worked in Financial Services since 1996 and has previously held senior administration and team leadership roles within a large financial services organisation, and another local advisory business.
Outside of work, Tina enjoys spending time with her family and running to keep fit. Her love of photography has led her into a quest to one day photograph all the UK butterfly species which has taken her across the UK in her search.
Tina holds the Financial Planning Certificate (FPC) qualification.
Client Relationship and Operations Manager
Rachel helps clients get the best from working with Crawford Consulting by focusing on client relationships and client service.
Rachel started her career in financial services in 1989. She worked in account and team management roles for major product providers before joining Crawford Consulting in 2004. With a career dedicated to building client relationships, Rachel knows that great service isn’t just about what a company does but also about how it makes you feel.
As well as getting to know clients so she can monitor and improve service, Rachel enjoys the challenge of finding ways to turn regulatory and compliance requirements into something clients will understand and value.
She also loves the opportunity to use her organisational skills and industry experience on a project. She has worked on a variety of business and operational projects over the years and is experienced in balancing differing goals and priorities, while keeping the client’s experience at the forefront.
Rachel enjoys learning new skills. Outside of work this has led her from things as diverse as learning Italian to building a dry-stone wall and achieving a diploma in interior design.
Rachel is a member of The Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) and The Personal Finance Society (PFS) and holds the PFS Diploma in Financial Planning.
Karen is our office manager and is responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the office. Karen supports Paul in making sure the practical, financial, and regulatory responsibilities of the business are met.
Karen had nearly 20 years’ experience working in the banking industry in Suffolk and Norfolk before making the change to the financial advice sector. She worked for 2 large multi-national firms based locally before joining Crawford Consulting in 2006. Her roles have included general banking, learning and development, mortgage adviser, branch management and event management.
Karen enjoys her role as no two days are the same. Since Crawford Consulting became directly authorised in 2014 her responsibilities have increased significantly, a change she has welcomed.
Out of work Karen enjoys walking with her Lakeland Terrier, McEnroe and supporting her 2 boys in their sporting activities of golf and tennis.
Karen holds a 50m breaststroke certificate and is the family Yahtzee champion!
